What is an attractiveness test?

"Attractiveness test" is how most people search when they want a face score or a “rate my face” result. This page runs a 478-point mesh on-device and blends symmetry, golden-ratio proximity, jawline and canthal tilt into a 0–100 preview — not a black-box random number. It answers “where do your proportions sit in the population,” not “what is your worth.”

How the Attractiveness Test Scores You

Four core metrics carry published weights: symmetry, golden-ratio proximity, jawline definition and canthal tilt. Each is measured in three dimensions, mapped onto a 0–100 range, then weighted into the final score. All of it runs in your browser — your photo is never sent to a scoring server.

Why these four? Because all four can be measured reliably from a single frontal photo and each is linked to facial harmony in the research literature. We deliberately exclude age, skin tone and gender classifiers — those invite bias and are not the question this tool set out to answer.

A worked example: suppose your symmetry scores 68, golden ratio 74, jawline 61 and canthal tilt 80. Blended with the current weights that lands near 70 — the “above average” band, where the advice is to fine-tune the jawline and grooming rather than overhaul anything. The full report shows each raw measurement so you know which lever to pull.

  1. Upload a clear frontal selfie (natural light, face toward the camera).
  2. On-device analysis of four core geometry metrics.
  3. See your blended 0–100 preview; unlock the full report only if you want depth.

Photo tips: even light, camera at eye level, a relaxed neutral expression, and hair off the forehead and jaw. Backlight, an upward angle or an exaggerated expression will pull the measurements away from your real geometry — that is an input problem, not a tool problem.

What Each Score Range Means

The table below pairs each band with its meaning, rough population position and what to do. The positions are approximations to convey relative standing, not official statistics.

Score rangeMeaningPopulation positionWhat to do
0–35Below the average bandRoughly the bottom tenth of the population on this composite.Focus on body fat, skin, hair and teeth before considering anything else.
36–55The average bandWhere most people sit — the broad middle of the bell curve.Grooming, fitness and styling give the fastest visible change.
56–72Above averageTop third of the population on this composite.Fine-tune the eye area, jawline and grooming; protect what already works.
73–100Top bandTop few percent on this composite.Maintain — drastic intervention is more likely to hurt than help.

If you want to use the score to track your own change (fat loss, skincare, grooming) rather than rank against strangers, the full report gives every raw measurement plus a 4-week plan: open the full Face Report.

Free preview vs full Face Report

The preview gives four core scores. For the 3D mesh, 40+ regional measurements and an improvement plan, open the full report.

Is the attractiveness score “scientific”?

There is no single scientific scale for beauty. We publish geometric weights so you can compare yourself over time (fat loss, procedures, grooming) — not to rank strangers by a magic number. More context in our facial attractiveness analysis guide.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Analysis runs in your browser. Account and payment only appear if you choose the full report — we do not ship your selfie to a scoring server for the free test.

Frequently asked questions

What is an attractiveness test?

An attractiveness test is a face score from a photo. FaceRated’s free test blends on-device geometry — symmetry, golden-ratio proximity, jawline cues and canthal tilt — into a transparent 0–100 preview.

Is this attractiveness test free?

Yes. The free attractiveness test needs no sign-up. A paid full Face Report is optional if you want 40+ measurements and a 3D mesh.

Does AI upload my selfie to rate me?

No. The free attractiveness test runs in your browser. Account and payment only appear if you choose the full report.

How is the attractiveness score calculated?

We publish geometric weights across symmetry, golden-ratio match, jawline and canthal tilt. It is not a black-box random number — and it is not a medical or scientific “beauty certificate.”

Can a facial attractiveness rater be objective?

No rater is fully objective. What a facial attractiveness rater can do honestly is measure the geometry it claims to measure, show its weights and keep the photo on your device. Judgements about who is attractive remain personal and cultural.
